Re-Launch Plan

Phasing Back into On-Site Services and Creating a New Normal in Light of COVID-19

In light of these recent decisions by our government and health agency leadership, and in consultation with our denominational leadership, we would like to share with you our WRC relaunch plan.  The leadership at WRC has been working on a re-launch plan for several weeks. Of primary importance to us is the desire to provide both necessary biblical ministry and personal safety for you and your family. Please keep in mind that this re-launch will happen in phases. As our church transitions through the approved phases it is our sincere desire to display the grace, mercy and love of Jesus Christ.

Worship Experiences

Through the month of May we will continue to worship virtually only.  Facebook Live at 9 am.
Starting June 6th and 7th we will hold on-site worship services.  We are shortening the length of the service to 50 minutes and limiting the number of people who attend these services to be able to maintain physical distancing guidelines. Please RSVP for a worship service.
Service times will be:
  • Saturdays 6:30 PM
  • Sundays 8:00 AM- This service is for those age 60+ or adults with compromised immune systems.
  • Sundays 9:30 AM- Interpreted for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
If you desire to continue to worship virtually the staring in June  the new time for Live Stream is 11:00 AM.

Interested in a House Church option?

We are asking everyone who chooses to attend an on-site worship service to abide by guidelines formulated to create a safe and loving atmosphere.

Life Groups

Life Groups will start meeting in person the week of May 31st. Virtual Life Group options will still be available for those who are not yet comfortable meeting together in person.  If you would like to join a Life Group contact Pastor Tiffany.

Before you arrive...

Here is the short list of new procedures we are adopting to follow guidelines for a safe reopening:

  • Cleaning and Sanitizing between services
  • Designating "in" and "out" doors
  • Spacing out chairs for physical distancing between households
  • Limiting the number of people in attendance
  • Providing hand sanitizer and masks
  • Creating a Touch-Free Experience
    • Propping doors open
    • Eliminating any paper handouts
    • Smile and wave greeting time

For those who love detail, here is how the experience will be different during this phase of re-opening.

  • We are using the main level only. The lower level Ridge Kids entrance and parking lot will be blocked off.
  • The cafĂ© is closed, no coffee or snacks will be served.  Feel free to bring your own coffee or water bottle. The drinking fountain will not be in use.
  • Restrooms will be open with a capacity of 3 people inside at a time. Marks for a line will be on the floor outside the restroom.
  • The sanctuary will be set up in rows 6ft apart.  Leave a 4-seat gap between you and another household to abide by physical distancing.  As you choose your seat, be mindful of leaving room for another household and stick to an aisle.
  • We are going paperless.  You can take notes and fill out a Connection Card through our App.  If paper is your thing you can print the notes or bring a notebook and pen.
  • Tithes and Offerings can be dropped off as you exit the sanctuary.  If you desire to use giving envelopes contact Diana in the office and she can send you a supply. 715-834-1930 diana@westridgechurch.us
  • You can submit prayer requests through the app.  If you would like someone to pray over you, the pastors will be available after service or you can call the office to schedule a home visit.
  • Kids will be sitting with their families in the sanctuary so expect a little extra noise.  There will be prepackaged activity packets for kids available, but parents should consider bringing other items to keep the kids occupied.  Strollers are welcome for little ones.
  • The nursery will be open, but not staffed and no toys available.  The max capacity is 3 families.  A changing table is available in the family restroom and in the main part of the nursery.
  • Socialize in the sanctuary or in the parking lot before or after services to keep the lobby from becoming crowded.  Please abide by physical distancing in these spaces and be aware of the time so we do not run into capacity issues as people arrive for the next service.
