Why Membership?
What is the point of church membership? It provides necessary mutual accountability and personal commitment to others that is uncommon in our culture, but vital to God’s definition of spiritual maturity. The nature of local church membership is comparable to the covenant relationship of marriage as defined in the Scriptures (Ephesians 5:21-33). On a practical level, membership is required to serve in teaching and prayer ministry roles, hold leadership positions, and take part in business meetings to discuss and vote on matters of direction of the church.
How Do I Become a Member?
