Current Needs:

Tech Team- Operate the Live Stream or display the slides on the Presentation Computer.  These tech roles are vital in giving people watching online and in the service stay engaged with helpful media.
Ridge Kids Team Member -Help lead services for our Kindergarten-5th grade children. Can include leading games, teaching lessons/bible stories, check in and check out, help at bible bag table, acting in skits, etc. according to your gifting and interest.
Welcome Team- Ushers and Greeters for the Main Level that are the first friendly faces to greet people and make they feel welcome

Serve Teams play a vital role in connecting people to God through their words, actions, and service. Everyone has a gift, use yours! We have teams that serve in the areas of First Impressions, Ridge Kids, Discipleship, Worship Service, and Behind the Scenes.  Check out the descriptions below and then SIGN UP TO SERVE.

If you are new to serving, don't overthink what team to join.  We often find out what we are good at by trying new things so join a team and see how you like it. If you are looking to better align your gifts and passions with your serving role, take the BUILD Course.

Serve Teams

All our current team roles are listed below.  After each position title is the minimum time commitment expected for the position.  We require everyone who serves on a team to be a regular attender of West Ridge Church.  Please note that some teams/roles require membership or additional steps such as an application, audition, background check, or interview.

First Impressions

Ridge Kids

Cafe Team
Once/Month
Make coffee and espresso drinks, clean up at end of morning. Connect with people as they grab coffee and donuts.
Welcome Team- Greeter
Once/Month
Enthusiastically welcome people to church and tell people where things are located.
Welcome Team- Usher
One/Month
Greet people as they enter the sanctuary. Help people find a place to sit. Monitor offering bucket at end of service.
Welcome Team- Monitor
Once/Month
Direct guests away from secure children's ministry area and watch for children leaving unattended.

Worship Service

Light Tech
Once/Month
Run the light board to ensure smooth transition for lighting needs.
Live Stream Operator
Once/Month
Operate the PTZ camera and broadcast software for our streamed worship service.
Presentation Computer
Once/Month
Run ProPresenter software to display visual media in a way that does not distract from the worship service.
Sound Technition
Once/Month
Mix sound for worship team in-ear monitors and house speakers during worship services.
Sign Language Interpreter
Once/Month
Interpret the 10:45 worship service for the deaf and hard of hearing.
Prayer Team
Once/Month
Pray with people who come forward at the end of the worship service.
Worship Band
Once/Month
Use your skill in playing an instrument to lead in musical worship
Worship Team- Vocal
Once/Month
Lead the congregation in musical worship through singing.
Ridge Kids Team Member

Base Camp Teacher

Teach, play with, and lead the Pre-K aged children. (Sunday opportunity)
Kids Life Leader
Once/Month
Help lead activities that bring God's Word to life, be a part of a child's spiritual formation. (Wednesday opportunity)
Nursery Team Member
Once/Month
Greet and check in children. Care for infants and toddlers. (Sunday and Wednesday opportunity)

Discipleship

Life Group Host
Weekly
Open your home and practice hospitality for a Life Group. Be an active member of the Life Group that meets in your home.
Life Group Leader
Weekly
Facilitate Bible study and shepherd group members into deeper connection with God and one another.
Hope Gospel Mentor
Weekly
Meet regularly to disciple a person enrolled in the Hope Gospel recovery program.
Ridge Youth Leader
Weekly
Develop relationships with students grade 6-12 to help them grow in their walk with God.
Ridge Women Leader
Monthly
Help plan events and facilitate gatherings for Ridge Women

Behind the Scenes

Decor
Seasonally
Help create a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere in the church building.
Photography
Once/Quarter
Capture the life of the church through taking photos at events throughout the year.
Kitchen Assistant
3-4 Times/Year
Assist is preparing and serving food at church events.
Hope Gospel Driver
Once/Month
Drive Hope Gospel Mission residents to and from church for the 10:45 am service.
Admin Volunteer
Flexible
Help prepare mailings, make copies, and other office tasks.
Ridge Women Support
Monthly
Assist with meal planning, preparation, and serving; help with event set-up and tear down at ministry gatherings.
