Why get baptized?
Water Baptism is an important and necessary "next step" in the life and development of a Christian. It is not something we do if or when we feel like we are ready, but rather something we do out of obedience to the command of Jesus Christ, "Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit" (Matthew 28:19). In salvation, God offers to adopt us into His family through faith in His son Jesus Christ. In water baptism, we demonstrate the evidence that we want to accept God's offer and belong to His family. "What are you waiting for? Get up and be baptized. Have your sins washed away by calling on the name of the Lord" (Acts 22:16).
Get Ready for Water Baptism
Adults desiring to be baptized need to take the BELIEVE Next Steps course before signing up for water baptism. The next offering of BELIEVE will be Sunday April 14th from 10:45 AM to Noon. You can sign up for the course here.
