INTERIM  OFFICE ASSISTANT

POSITION STATUS: TEMPORARY PART TIME HOURLY, NON-EXEMPT
DATES OF EMPLOYMENT: August 26, 2024 – November 29, 2024 (14 weeks)
SCHEDULE: 20 Hours/Week, Flexible Daytime Monday – Thursday, Wednesday evenings required
PAY RATE: $14-$17/hour, depending on relevant work experience.
SUPERVISION: Position is directly supervised by the Lead Pastor.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Interim Office Assistant at West Ridge Church is responsible for maintaining day-to-day operations of the church: calendar and database updates, facility management, and communication. This position provides necessary support services for the Pastoral Staff and Ministry Team Leaders and works closely with support staff to fulfill the mission of Connecting People to God.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ as evidenced by spiritual maturity and stability.
  • Positive and gracious spirit
  • Servant-hearted and self-motivated
  • Ability to interact with the public in a pleasant, personable and professional way
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Strong clerical skills, including ability to proofread, edit and use word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and management software (Ex: Word, Excel, ProPresenter, Planning Center ChMS)
  • Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks on time
  • Familiarity with office technology: printer, copier, scanner, phone system
  • Ability to be a team player and work effectively on projects in collaboration with others

West Ridge Church (WRC) is Pastor-led and staff driven with Leadership Team oversight. WRC staff is considered leaders and ministers of the gospel within the church and community, and therefore agree to the following:

  • Attend all regularly scheduled services in the church. Special services and functions will be required as deemed necessary by the Lead Pastor.
  • Regularly attend a Life Group.
  • Maintain a high level of personal integrity, honesty and confidentiality in dealing both with the staff and congregation.
  • Maintain a Christian outlook and attitude at all times.
  • Maintain loyalty to the staff and church, actively promoting unity within the church.
